The Minnesota Vikings traded back into Round 1 of the NFL Draft to select Teddy Bridgewater as their quarterback of the future. In the preseason they announced Matt Cassel would get the start, but that wasn't because Bridgewater played poorly. The rookie QB had a rough first game, but had strong performances in the second and third week of the preseason. In both games he threw for two touchdowns and even led a comeback against Arizona.
Bridgewater won't start the season, but there's a possibility he plays at some point this year. He's not worth drafting, but he is worth keeping an eye on.
