Travis Kelce finished TE2, but it was a down year by his standards. His 984 yards were his fewest since 2015, and well off his 2016-2022 average of 1,230 yards per season. His 11.5 per-game average (half-PPR) was a pretty significant drop from 2022 (15.9) and 2021 (13.7). Both his yards per reception (10.6) and his yards per target (8.1) were career-lows. I think it’s safe to say that the soon-to-be 35-year-old’s elite production days are behind him, though he still offers high-end TE1 production in the Chiefs’ potent offense.

Travis Kelce turns 35 in October and acknowledged he's a lot closer to the end of his football career than the beginning. But he said he's not planning on 2024 being his final season.

"I love coming to work every single day and doing this, so I am going to do it until the wheels fall off and hopefully that doesn't happen anytime soon,'' Kelce said after the Kansas City Chiefs' minicamp practice Tuesday.

Fantasy Impact:

Kansas City has added insurance here and there over the years since their offense is so TE-friendly, but as long as Kelce is on the field he is going to be a driving force to the team. His regular season workload could very well decline, but that still makes him a huge asset in fantasy.

KC TE Travis Kelce - Week 1 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 1 vs. Baltimore Ravens

One Kelce brother retired this offseason but Travis is still going and still going at a strong level -- Jason was as well before retiring. Kelce finished with 984 yards receiving last season and, while he is slowing down a bit at age 35, he's still showing he's going to be one of the top options for Patrick Mahomes yet again. Even against a tough Ravens defense, Kelce will be peppered with targets as usual. And with Xavier Worthy in the mix to take the top off the Ravens' defense, Kelce should have more room to operate. He's going to remain a top tight end option until further notice.
