Scouting report

IND WR T.Y. Hilton - Week 11, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

T.Y. Hilton - Week 11 vs. New England

T.Y. Hilton's 100-yard streak ended in Week 9, but he still had a strong outing with 71 yards and a touchdown. He's now scored in three of his last four games. He did have his lowest reception total (3) in the Colts' last game, which is a bit concerning. Especially considering how much the team threw the football.

Even so, Hilton proved once again he's a top fantasy option. He could struggle this week against Darrelle Revis and the Patriots, but we've seen him take advantage of good corners before. He should be viewed as a WR1.

IND WR T.Y. Hilton - Week 9, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

T.Y. Hilton - Week 9 vs. New York Giants

T.Y. Hilton is emerging as one of the top receivers in fantasy football. He leads the entire NFL in receiving yards (866) and is fourth in the league in receptions (53). The good news for owners is most of Hilton's production is coming from his latest games. In the last three weeks he's surpassed 100 receiving yards. The only knock on Hilton's season so far is his two touchdown receptions. We'd like to see him find the end zone more often, but beggars can't be choosers.

He doesn't get a great matchup this week against the Giants, but it shouldn't matter. Andrew Luck and the Colts' offense has been matchup proof so far this year. Look for another big game from Hilton as he's a WR1 option this week with six teams on BYE.

IND WR T.Y. Hilton - Week 8, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

T.Y. Hilton - Week 8 vs. Pittsburgh

T.Y. Hilton is one of the hottest receivers in the NFL right now. He has at least six receptions and 90 yards in each of his last four games. He's also averaging 131 yards during that span. The only negative to Hilton's game this season is his lack of touchdowns. He's scored just once all season.

Outside of that he's the main beneficiary of Andrew Luck's explosive season. He has the most targets (68), receptions (47) and yards (711) on the team. He has 277 more yards than the second leading receiver on the team.

He'll draw a tough Steelers matchup this week, but that shouldn't matter. Hilton should continue his high production and be used as a WR1.

IND WR T.Y. Hilton - Week 7, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

T.Y. Hilton - Week 7 vs. Cincinnati

T.Y. Hilton had his first explosive performance of the season last week against Houston (9-223-1). We knew Hilton was capable of games like this, but it's the first we've seen of the year.

Hilton also caught nine balls in the game, making it two weeks in a row with that number. He's caught at least five passes in every game this season, making him very valuable in PPR formats.

He'll get a tough matchup against the Bengals this week, but he can still be used as a WR2.

IND WR T.Y. Hilton - Week 6, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

T.Y. Hilton - Week 6 vs. Houston

T.Y. Hilton isn't being used as the explosive deep threat receiver anymore. He's catching a lot more passes for fewer yards. He has at least five receptions in every game this season, including 9-for-90 in Week 5. He's the fifth-most targeted receiver in the NFL this season. This is good news if you own Hilton in PPR formats.

Hilton will face off against a mediocre Texans defense in Week 6. Last year against Houston he had one of his biggest games of the season catching seven passes for 121 yards and three touchdowns.

He should be used as a WR2. The targets and yardage are there.

IND WR T.Y. Hilton - Week 5, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

T.Y. Hilton - Week 5 vs. Baltimore

T.Y. Hilton had his first 100-yard game last week against Tennessee. He reached the 100-yard milestone on six receptions and he now has at least five catches in every game this season.

He'll get a favorable matchup this week against the Baltimore Ravens. The Ravens don't allow many touchdowns to wideouts, but they allow plenty of yards. In the past two games they've allowed 489 yards on 31 catches.

Hilton should be used as a low WR2 or high WR3 this week.

IND WR T.Y. Hilton - Week 4, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

T.Y. Hilton - Week 4 vs. Tennessee Titans

T.Y. Hilton had his best game of the season last week in a favorable matchup. He didn't go crazy, as he is able to do. Instead he caught five passes for 80 yards in a Colts blowout victory. He's been the most targeted receiver on the team so far this season, but he doesn't have great numbers.

It should also be noted Hilton is battling an ankle injury. He practiced fully on Thursday and should be active on Sunday, but he won't be 100 percent.

This week he faces a stingy Titans defense. Tennessee has been tough this season to opposing wideouts, and they've been tough to Hilton in his four career games against them. He has yet to catch a touchdown against the Titans and he's been held to 50 yards or less in every matchup.

Considering his slow start and his difficult matchup, Hilton should be used as a WR3 this week.
