LAR WR Van Jefferson - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 vs Lions

Van Jefferson continues to be a boom-or-bust receiver dependent on an injury to Robert Woods or Cooper Kupp. Jefferson is a distant third in targets for L.A., but is seeing almost 20% of the team’s air yards, making him a top 50 option with six teams on bye.

LAR WR Van Jefferson - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 at Giants

No surprise that Van Jefferson took a step back with Cooper Kupp and Robert Woods combining for 24 targets in Week 5. Jefferson continues to be a field-stretching presence with versatility as a route runner but is dependent on a bad game/s from Woods and Kupp to maintain fantasy relevance on a week-to-week basis. He does deserve flex consideration as we enter bye week SZN and with the Giants ranking 24th in aFPA against wide receivers.

LAR WR Van Jefferson - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 at Seahawks

You love to see Van Jefferson thrive as L.A.’s WR3. He tied his season-high with six targets and set season-highs in receptions and yards Week 4 as the Arizona Cardinals neutralized Roberts Woods and Cooper Kupp. Jefferson has also played at least 67.6% of snaps each week and has a juicy matchup against the 24th ranked Seahawks defense in wide receiver aFPA. Jefferson is knocking on the door of becoming a top 50 wide receiver in 4for4’s rankings and is very much a FLEX play (but not in the flex position) Thursday.

LAR WR Van Jefferson - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 vs Cardinals

The Rams WR3 is getting a healthy number of snaps per game, playing at least 69% each week while seeing at least three targets per game. It is also good to see that not every catch has been deep throws, giving Jefferson versatility in the passing game. DeSean Jackson saw a season-high 32% of snaps played Week 3 and is a player to monitor because of a similar skillset as Jefferson. Jefferson is a FLEX consideration against Arizona’s iffy secondary.

LAR WR Van Jefferson - Week 2 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 vs Colts

Early returns were good for Van Jefferson but the majority of his production Week 1 came from lackadaisical coverage by the Bears secondary. The Colts allowed a Yards Per Catch over 10 to four pass-catching options Week 1 and if the Rams can take advantage of the Colts’ injury concerns in the secondary, Jefferson could end up as a boom/bust WR3/4.
