HOU WR Will Fuller - Week 1 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 1 – Will Fuller at Kansas City Chiefs
As long as Will Fuller can stay healthy, he has a chance for a huge ’20 campaign. No longer playing second fiddle to DeAndre Hopkins, the fifth-year receiver is primed to break out. He could quickly become Deshaun Watson’s No. 1 target. During his career Fuller has averaged over 14 yards per grab and is a threat to take it to the house on any reception. For what could be a high-scoring battle in the opener, he makes for a WR2 start.

HOU WR Will Fuller - 2020 Fantasy Football Outlook

Fantasy Upside
Last season, Will Fuller continued to show that when he's right, he's a game-changer. Now, with DeAndre Hopkins in Arizona, Fuller is now the No. 1 WR on a team that will throw in 2020. And he's been plenty productive. As ESPN's Matthew Berry pointed out, in his past 16 games with at least seven targets, Fuller has 87 catches, 1,192 yards and eight TDs (259.9 fantasy points). That would've been WR7 last season (ahead of Julian Edelman, just behind Keenan Allen). Part of that has been due to heavy usage thanks to a locked-in connection with Deshaun Watson. Fuller averaged a 24% target share in 10 "full" games last season and was at 22% in six "full" games in 2017. That's big-time usage and came with Hopkins in the fold and it leads ESPN's Mike Clay to suspect Fuller's share could rise even higher this year -- health willing.

Fantasy Downside
Fuller has missed at least five games in three of four NFL seasons. He played just 11 games in 2019 because of hamstring and core muscle problems and has only played 42 of a possible 64 games in four seasons. This year, the speedy wideout says availability will be his top priority. "That's a big goal for me to play all 16," Fuller said.

2020 Bottom Line
Here's hoping he hits that goal. If he does, Fuller will play a major role in filling the void left by Hopkins' departure. Given his current ranking (as a WR3), there's ample upside to be had here.

HOU WR Will Fuller - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
After being in-and-out of the lineup with a sore hamstring, Will Fuller was back for the Texans last week and contributed five receptions for 61 yards in the win over the Titans. He has played in 10 games in ’19, with all three of his scores coming back in Week 5. The Bucs have struggled at stopping the pass, so consider Fuller a WR3/flex start on Saturday.

HOU WR Will Fuller - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 at Tennessee Titans
Will Fuller missed another game last week due to his ailing hamstring. He had a big game a few weeks ago versus the Colts, posting seven grabs for 140 yards, but hasn’t done much for fantasy owners this year outside of that contest and his huge outing in early October against Atlanta. Be sure to monitor the injury report, as Fuller has a favorable matchup in Tennessee if he’s healthy.

HOU WR Will Fuller - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 vs. Denver Broncos
After registering 140 yards in Week 12, Will Fuller was limited to just an eight-yard catch by the Patriots last week. Deshaun Watson connected with eight different receivers in the victory, with fellow WRs DeAndre Hopkins and Kenny Stills leading the way. Consider the game with New England an anomaly, as Fuller is still a vital part of the Texans passing attack. Even though the Broncos own the fifth-best pass defense he should be used as a WR2 play.

HOU WR Will Fuller - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 vs. New England Patriots
Welcome back to the field, Will Fuller. After missing most of the previous four contests due to a hamstring injury, he was targeted a team-high 11 times, resulting in seven catches for 140 yards in the win over the Colts last Thursday. He looked healthy and helped stretch the field for the Houston offense. Fuller’s posted big numbers twice this season, but in the other five games, he’s finished his stats have been pretty pedestrian. The Patriots defense is allowing less than 160 yards per game through the air, so consider him a WR2 play.

HOU WR Will Fuller - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 vs. Indianapolis Colts
Will Fuller is expected to be a game-time decision for the Thursday night affair with the Colts. If his hamstring is healthy enough to play he'll be facing the No. 11 pass defense. With his injury history, Fuller makes for a risky fantasy start.
