Scouting report

BUF RB Zack Moss - Week 2 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 vs Miami
Zack Moss' NFL debut wasn't great but it did set the table for the rest of the season. He played 45% of the offensive snaps and 12 touches. The downside was he ended up with only 27 total yards. However, he did have a receiving touchdown to make him fantasy relevant last week.

Moss will face Miami who is 26th in aFPA to running backs. He will get snaps and touches and in this matchup, he should be able to help your fantasy team. Start Moss as a RB3 or flex for Week 2. The Bills threw 11 targets to their running backs last week which means Moss has even more value in PPR leagues.

BUF RB Zack Moss - Week 1 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 1 vs. New York Jets
Rookie Zach Moss will be the primary backup to Devin Singletary and is expected to get touches in 2020. The Bills feel like he will fill several different roles including short yardage and goal line situations.

Moss will face the Jets who were 11th in aFPA to running backs, but that defense should regress in 2020. So the Buffalo running backs expect to have some success.

It will be a feeling out process for Moss as the Bills define his role. But he is definitely in a good spot and has value as depth heading into Week 1. His value might increase after the first couple weeks.

BUF RB Zack Moss - 2020 Fantasy Football Outlook

Fantasy Upside
The Bills took Zack Moss in the third round of the 2020 draft to bolster the running game. Moss had a great college career and is a running back with good vision and a burst of speed. At 222 pounds, he can be a power back and will be used in goalline and short-yardage situations which means he will have opportunities to score touchdowns. He will go into the season as Devin Singletary's primary backup. Singletary is not an every-down back at this point so that raises Moss' value.

Fantasy Downside
Moss is a rookie with a solid college resume, but you never know how players will adjust to the NFL. He will be involved in the offense, but the game planning will revolve around Singletary. Moss is the sixth-ranked rookie running back from the class of 2020.

2020 Bottom Line
Moss will be good for depth on fantasy rosters in 2020. We project 528 yards rushing and six touchdowns for 2020. The short-yardage situations give him more value in deeper leagues. Moss is going anywhere between the 12th and 14th rounds of fantasy drafts. If you can get him in that range, he will be a good fourth running back for your roster and if something happens to Singletary, you would have a steal.
