WAS QB Jacoby Brissett - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 vs San Francisco 49ers

Jacoby Brissett once again stepped in for a struggling Sam Howell last week, and he looked much more efficient completing 10 of his 13 passes for 100 yards and a touchdown. Brissett has looked great in mop-up duty the past two weeks, so much so that he's taken over the starting role for Week 17. He's looked so good that he could be a tempting option at QB this week, until you realize he's playing the 49ers (7th aFPA). Brissett might have a lot of pass attempts this week in a game that has blowout potential, but he's a hard option to trust in most people's championship week in fantasy. We'd likely look elsewhere for your QB needs in Week 17.

Week 12 vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Let's give thanks this week to the efforts of Jacoby Brissett, who did what he could to keep the Browns afloat during Deshaun Watson's suspension. This will be Brissett's last game as the starter for the Browns with Watson set to return in Week 13. Brissett faces Tampa Bay who is coming off their bye week. He's coming off his first 300-yard game this season against the Bills and his first multi-touchdown game since Week 3. Brissett hopes to go out with a bang. He's worth a look as a QB2 option in Superflex or 2-QB leagues.

CLE QB Jacoby Brissett - 2022 Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 vs. Buffalo Bills in Detroit

We're starting to reach the end of Jacoby Brissett's time as Cleveland's starter. Deshaun Watson is back at practice and is expected to start in Week 13. So let's enjoy Brissett's run while we still can. Unfortunately, this week he faces the Bills and you know the Bills are angry after losing the way they did against the Vikings. That probably spells bad news for a quarterback that hasn't thrown two touchdowns in a game since Week 3. You likely want to stay away here.

CLE QB Jacoby Brissett - 2022 Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 at Miami Dolphins

With the Browns off their Week 9 bye, we're heading into the homestretch of Jacoby Brissett as the Browns' starter. And while Brissett hasn't been awful, the touchdowns haven't been there. He has just 7 touchdowns in 8 games. He has taken care of the football over his last two games, with just 10 incompletions in 49 attempts. But Cleveland will remain a running team, at least until Deshaun Watson returns. Brissett gets the Dolphins this week and, while that seems like a favorable matchup, it's just too hard to trust Brissett as a fantasy option at this rate.

CLE QB Jacoby Brissett - 2022 Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 at Baltimore Ravens

Jacoby Brissett actually threw for a season-high 266 yards last week against the Patriots. The problem is Cleveland was in catch-up mode most of the day and Brissett was only 21/45 on the day. He does get an easier matchup this week against a Ravens team that is right in the middle of DVOA rankings but does sport a top-ten pass defense in DVOA. If you're in a deep league, he may be worth considering as a QB2, but nothing more besides that.

CLE QB Jacoby Brissett - 2022 Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 vs. New England Patriots

Jacoby Brissett continues to have a pedestrian fantasy season, only hovering around 15 points per game. That's not terrible, but you can find better. Brissett faces New England this week, who somehow shut out the No. 1 scoring offense last week in the Lions. Brissett is obviously not Jared Goff. He may get you about 15 points again, but chances are you have a quarterback (or two) that provides a little more upside than a quarterback of a run-first team.

CLE QB Jacoby Brissett - 2022 Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 at Atlanta Falcons

Jacoby Brissett scored his first two-touchdown outing of the season last week against the Steelers. He faces a Falcons team that ranks second-to-last in our matchup ratings versus opposing quarterbacks, but the Browns are still a run-first team and Brissett isn't asked to shoulder a lot of the load, so his upside is limited. He's a QB2 this week in Atlanta.
