NYJ RB Michael Carter - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 at New England Patriots
Michael Carter is getting about half the carries the past two weeks and last game before the bye was his highest rushing total of the season with 76 yards. He might be the lead back but he really is splitting time with James Robinson.

The Jets face the Patriots for the second time this season. New England is ranked 1st in aFPA to running backs. Carter had seven carries for 26 yards the last time they met.

This isn't a great matchup for the Jets but we still expect him to get enough touches to be relevant. Start him as an RB3 or Flex for Week 11.

NYJ RB Michael Carter - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 vs. Buffalo Bills
With Breece Hall out for the season, Michael Carter made his debut as the No. 1 back with 11 touches 61 yards. He played 56% of the snaps which was lower than expected with newly acquired James Robinson just coming in. Carter will still be the No. 1 running back on the depth chart for the Jets for the time being.

Next up is Buffalo who is ranked 11th in aFPA to running backs. We expect New York to use Carter, Robinson and Ty Johnson at running back so how effective Carter can be is still up in the air.

Start Carter as a high-end RB3 or Flex for Week 9. He still should get the most snaps and touches, but if we see that shift to Robinson, that will tell us where Carter stands.

NYJ RB Michael Carter - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 vs. New England Patriots
For at least one week, Michael Carter will be a three-down back who should get almost all the snaps. Breece Hall is out for the season and recently acquired James Robinson will be eased into the offense. He had a season-high 15 touches for 74 yards although most of that was in the passing game.

Next up is New England who is ranked 3rd in aFPA to running back. Despite the tough matchup, volume should be enough for Carter to get some decent fantasy numbers.

Start Carter as a low-end RB2 for Week 8 as he will have value in the running game (13 carries last week) and the passing game.

NYJ RB Michael Carter - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 at Denver Broncos
Michael Carter had seven touches for 47 yards last week and played less than 50% of the snaps again. Breece Hall has taken over as the primary back for the Jets so although Carter is still involved, his role is basically as a backup.

With a tough matchup coming Sunday against Denver and the touches down last week, keep Carter on the bench for Week 7. When we see the touches go up, he might be considered for an RB3 or Flex role moving forward.

NYJ RB Michael Carter - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 at Green Bay Packers
Despite a big game from rookie teammate Breece Hall, Michael Carter was still involved in the offense. He played in less than 50% of the snaps but still got 12 touches for 33 yards. He also made his fantasy managers happy with two touchdowns. Maybe Hall will be the featured back, but this could mean that Carter will get goal line carries which keeps him fantasy relevant.

Hall faces the Packers who are ranked 15th in aFPA to running backs. Carter's role was rightly predicted by many fantasy pundits. The Jets still like him and he will get touches and snaps. Start him for Week 6 against Green Bay as a low-end RB3 or Flex.

NYJ RB Michael Carter - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 vs. Miami Dolphins
Michael Carter saw his snap count drop again this week to 44%. The early part of the season saw him as the No. 1 running back for New York, but that title seems to belong to rookie Breece Hall. Carter still had 11 touches for 29 yards which means he is still fantasy relevant.

Carter faces the Dolphins who are ranked 16th in aFPA to running backs. For now, Carter should be on your bench. However, he is still provides good depth at the running back position for fantasy.

NYJ RB Michael Carter - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 at Pittsburgh Steelers
Michael Carter carried the ball 11 times for 39 yards last Sunday. It was his highest rush total of the season. However, for the first time in 2022, rookie RB Breece Hall was on the field more than Carter. This was expected as Hall's ADP was much higher than Carter in the preseason. We still think Carter will continue to split time so his fantasy value doesn't diminish.

Carter will face the Steelers who are ranked 11th in aFPA to running backs. It will be interesting to see if he is still gets double-digit carries or if Hall sees the ball more in the running game.

Start Carter as an RB3 or Flex for Week 4. As long as Carter hovers around the 50% snaps mark, he will continue to pick up some fantasy stats.
