BAL QB Jimmy Clausen - Week 16, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 vs. Pittsburgh

Jimmy Clausen struggled against the Chiefs last week, throwing a pair of picks. He did have two touchdown passes and 281 yards passing, but it was too little too late against the Kansas City team that steamrolled the Ravens and won 34-14.

This week, Clausen faces a vulnerable Steelers pass defense, but is not guaranteed to get the start over newcomer Ryan Mallett, as the two battle over a potential 2016 roster spot in the closing weeks of the season. Regardless of who starts, fantasy owners should look away from the Ravens passers, as none project to do well even if they start.

BAL QB Jimmy Clausen - Week 15, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 vs. Kansas City

Jimmy Clausen got his first start as a Raven last week and it was a rough outing against the Seattle Seahawks. He ended up with 274 yards and a pick, as Baltimore got crushed 35-6. Clausen had a safe game plan of dinks and dunks, but couldn’t get the Ravens offense moving with any kind of consistency against a tough Seahawks defense.

This week is unlikely to produce better results. While the Chiefs have allowed more yards through the air than the Seahawks have this year, Kansas City ranks fourth in the league with 39 sacks this season, and even without pass rusher Justin Houston, the Chiefs should be able to dominate the patchwork offensive line that the Ravens will trot out. Clausen should remain on waivers in most leagues and definitely shouldn’t be in your lineup this week.

CHI QB Jimmy Clausen - Week 4, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 vs. Oakland

As expected, Jimmy Clausen was absolutely awful last week as he drew the start for Chicago. He attempted only 17 passes, completing nine of them for 63 yards and no touchdowns. At least he didn't have an interception!

Clausen is projected to start again this week with Jay Cutler nursing an injury. He'll get an easier matchup against Oakland, but he's still Jimmy Clausen. Of all the options at quarterback this week, Clausen is likely your worst bet.

CHI QB Jimmy Clausen - Week 3, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 vs. Seattle
You must be a real degenerate to be looking up fantasy advice on Jimmy Clausen. The sixth-year player only has one career start and has a TD-INT ratio of 5-11. He'd be a bad option no matter what this week, but the fact he's facing Seattle just makes him an even worse option. Clausen will be starting in place of Jay Cutler due to a hamstring injury, but he's not worth starting in any fantasy format this week.

CHI QB Jimmy Clausen - Week 16, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Jimmy Clausen - Week 16 vs. Detroit Lions

The Bears told Jay Cutler they had enough and made the switch to Jimmy Clausen. Before this year Clausen hadn't played in a regular season game since 2010. He's made three appearances this season in mop-up duty and has thrown a total of nine passes.

The good news about Clausen is you can get a starting quarterback on waivers late in the season. The bad news is he has a brutal matchup against the Detroit Lions. The Lions have one of the best defenses in the NFL and the Bears are going through all sorts of troubles.

You shouldn't be relying on Clausen in your championship week. He's in a bad situation playing against a tough team.
