Jets RB Isaiah Crowell (toe, out) missed practice again Thursday. Elijah McGuire (ankle) took full practice reps Thursday after being limited Wednesday. With Crowell out, it’s looking likely that McGuire serves as the RB1 against the Texans. It’s a bad matchup, but McGuire should see a sizable workload after turning 20 touches into 83 yards and a touchdown against the Bills last week. Houston has yielded just 40 rushing yards per game (on 2.65 YPC) to opposing running backs in the last four games, though they’ve given up an average 42 receiving yards to the position in the same span. McGuire is more than capable as a receiver—he has 11 catches for 90 yards in five games played, so he holds more value in PPR formats than in standard this week. Trenton Cannon (toe, questionable) took limited practice reps again Thursday.

The Jets have listed Isaiah Crowell (foot) and Quincy Enunwa (ankle) as out for Week 15's game against the Texans.

Fantasy Impact: 

Crowell's backfield mate Elijah McGuire isn't a sure thing for Saturday's game, but it does sound like he should play. If so, he checks in as a low-end RB2/flex option against a tough Texans run defense. Coming off his best game since Week 5, Robby Anderson is an intriguing WR4 with upside should he get loose for a long score (or two).

Fantasy Impact: 

Other reports said Crowell was spotted in a walking boot Tuesday, and obviously it remains to be seen who out of this group may or not be able to suit up. The Jets take on Houston in Week 15, and the team may have to make a move at RB at some point.
