IND WR Josh Downs - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 at New York Jets

Josh Downs has been on a nice streak of late, posting receiving totals of 109, 60 and 72 while totaling 17 catches in that time. Of course, the last two weeks have been with Joe Flacco. The passing game has been inconsistent with Anthony Richardson, whom the Colts are going back to this week. While the secondary hasn't been elite, it's still been very strong. The Jets are currently No. 2 in passing yards per game allowed (168.3). Downs' ceiling is capped this week but he is still the best option in the passing game from the Colts for fantasy owners.

IND WR Josh Downs - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 vs. Indianapolis Colts

In his first game back with Joe Flacco, Josh Downs caught six passes for 60 yards. on nine targets, leading the way for the Colts. It's pretty clear now that Downs is the favorite target for Flacco. Most of Downs' production this season came with Flacco at quarterback. That connection helps add fantasy value for Downs, but a tough matchup against the Bills could cap his ceiling a bit this week. Downs remains a strong Flex option.

IND WR Josh Downs - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 at Minnesota Vikings

No player may be more excited for Joe Flacco than Josh Downs. The two had a strong connection during Flacco's first run as the Colts starter. Downs is coming off a 100-yard performance against the Vikings last week so he's bringing some momentum to the table. We have Downs as a top-15 wide receiver this week against a Vikings defense that, while tough, can be favorable against opposing wide receivers (3rd-easiest matchup in our rankings).

IND WR Josh Downs - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 at Houston Texans

Perhaps Josh Downs misses Joe Flacco a lot. Downs caught just one pass on three targets for a measly three yards in Week 7. Downs was dealing with a toe injury, so there was that, but the fact remains this Colts offense is limited with Richardson at quarterback. That caps the fantasy ceiling for all the receivers, including Downs. The Texans are allowing the 4th-fewest passing yards. Downs is a deeper flex play this week.

IND WR Josh Downs - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 vs. Miami Dolphins

Josh Downs has been on a nice, steady pace since coming back from injury. He has at least 66 yards in each of his last three games with two touchdowns over that time. Of course, most of that has come with Joe Flacco as their starting quarterback. The Colts are expected to go back to Anthony Richardson this week, who has struggled at times in the passing game. Even with that and a tough matchup against Miami, Downs can still be considered a Flex option as long as he continues to see a healthy amount of targets -- he is averaging eight targets over the last three weeks.

IND WR Josh Downs - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 at Tennessee Titans

Josh Downs is on a nice little stretch, totaling 17 catches for 151 yards and a touchdown in the last two weeks. Of course, most of that was with Joe Flacco at quarterback. Michael Pittman could be limited with a back injury, which could open the door for Downs to be the main guy in the passing attack, at least for this week. Will Anthony Richardson be consistent enough to keep Downs' run going? We'll see, but if Downs is going to see more targets, he's worth a look as a WR3/Flex play even against a strong Titans pass defense.

IND WR Josh Downs - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 at Jacksonville Jaguars

Josh Downs looks healthy again. He caught 8-of-9 targets for 82 yards and a touchdown against the Steelers. He's in line for another strong day facing a Jaguars team allowing the second-most passing yards per game (272.8). Joe Flacco will get the start, which is still good news for Downs, who should be considered as a WR2 this week.
