BAL WR Devin Duvernay - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 vs. Carolina Panthers

Devin Duvernay caught his lone target before the bye last week, gaining just five yards. It was his worst game of the season, although he still led all Ravens wide receivers in snaps by a large margin. Duvernay is the default WR1 in Baltimore with Rashod Bateman out for the rest of the season, but that status has only turned in modest fantasy gains.

This week, Duvernay faces a Panthers defense that ranks 25th in aFPA to opposing wide receivers, giving him upside in deeper formats. Still, his lack of production makes it hard to bank on him in most leagues and we have him ranked outside of WR3 territory.

BAL WR Devin Duvernay - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 at New Orleans Saints

Devin Duvernay had four catches for 31 yards against the Buccaneers last week, but he added two carries for 33 yards and a touchdown on the ground. It was his fourth touchdown of the season, and first since Week 3 at New England.

Duvernay could get a bump in targets with Rashod Bateman seemingly shelved for the foreseeable future with a foot injury. He’ll face a Saints defense that ranks 18th in aFPA to opposing wide receivers, and with extra looks headed his way, he’s worth consideration as a WR3 option with so many teams on bye this week.

BAL WR Devin Duvernay - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 at Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Devin Duvernay caught two balls for 42 yards last week as Rashod Bateman returned to action and led the team in targets. Duvernay has some upside if Bateman ends up being a late scratch, and he actually led Baltimore wide receivers in snaps last week, but this team isn’t likely to sustain multiple fantasy receivers. Duvernay is too volatile to trust if Bateman plays, so keep him as a desperation backup plan to Bateman this week, at best.

Week 7 vs. Cleveland Browns

Devin Duvernay was disappointing last week against a tough New York defense, catching just one of his five targets for 14 yards. Duvernay had five catches for 54 yards in the previous outing, however, so there’s still upside for him if Rashod Bateman misses another game. Bateman is questionable heading into the weekend. If he’s out, then Duvernay becomes an interesting WR3 option against a Browns defense that ranks 27th in aFPA to opposing wide receivers. If Bateman is active, pivot away from Duvernay.

BAL WR Devin Duvernay - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 at New York Giants

Devin Duvernay caught five of his seven targets for 54 yards last week against the Bengals, and he added 24 yards on the ground. Duvernay has been a nice surprise for the offense, scoring three touchdowns as the WR2 on the team. With Rashod Bateman out last week, he filled in admirably as the WR1.

Duvernay is a risky bet if Bateman returns to action, but he has some upside against the Giants and their 19th ranked defense in aFPA to opposing wide receivers. If Bateman is out again, consider him a potential sneaky WR3 option, but he’s too risky to trust if Bateman is back in the lineup.

Update: With Bateman officially out, we have Duvernay as an interesting WR3 with upside.

BAL WR Devin Duvernay - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 vs. Cincinnati Bengals

Devin Duvernay continues to have a strong season considering his previous role as solely a return specialist a year ago. He had four catches for 51 yards on five targets against the Bills last week. The Ravens don’t really support more than one fantasy wide receiver with Mark Andrews around, and the Bengals are a tough matchup this week. However, Duvernay is worth adding to rosters in deeper formats, given his playing time and targets. Sit him this week, but monitor his role moving forward - especially if Rashod Bateman misses any time with injury.

Update: With Rashod Bateman officially out, Duvernay has some risky WR3 upside with additional targets likely headed his way.

BAL WR Devin Duvernay - Week 2 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 vs. Miami Dolphins

Devin Duvernay had a heck of a first week. He was second on the team in snaps among wide receivers and caught all four of his targets for 54 yards and a pair of touchdowns. While it was a great sign to see Duvernay on the field so much and finding the end zone, this smells like a typical Week 1 outlier performance. Duvernay is worth paying attention to, but he’s unlikely to score consistently. Additionally, Demarcus Robinson also had four targets and saw just four fewer snaps than Duvernay. They also played the Jets, who may struggle this year defensively. The Dolphins held the Patriots to 213 yards passing last week, despite being ahead for nearly the entire game. Let others spend their FAAB money and waiver priority on Duvernay, and look elsewhere in most leagues.
