MIN TE Chase Ford - Week 17, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Chase Ford- Week 17 vs. Chicago Bears
Kyle Rudolph is likely sitting out this week, which leaves Chase Ford and Rhett Ellison as the next men up. Neither option has proven to be reliable this season. They aren't worth a look.

MIN TE Chase Ford - Week 9, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Chase Ford - Week 9 vs. Washington
After having no receptions in Week 7, Chase Ford had his best game of the season in Week 8. He caught six balls for 61 yards. For now we'll just look at this as an abnormal game. Ford's more likely to finish with 30-40 yards on an average game. He's not a strong option at tight end.

MIN TE Chase Ford - Week 8, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Chase Ford - Week 8 vs. Tampa Bay
After two straight games of 30+ receiving yards, Chase Ford was held without a catch last week. He's not a focal point of the offense and shouldn't be considered in fantasy.

MIN TE Chase Ford - Week 7, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Chase Ford - Week 7 vs. Buffalo
Chase Ford is more active in the passing game due to Kyle Rudolph being out the lineup. He now has 30+ yards in back-to-back games. He's still not worth a start in fantasy, however, as his impact is minimal.

MIN TE Chase Ford - Week 6, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Chase Ford - Week 6 vs. Detroit
Chase Ford was on the field for 43 percent of the team's offensive snaps in Week 5 and caught three passes for 31 yards. He is a small factor in the Vikings' poor offense. He's not worth consideration.

MIN TE Chase Ford - Week 5, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Chase Ford - Week 5 vs. Green Bay

Chase Ford is an interesting player. He has great size at 6'6", 245 pounds and runs fast for a big man (4.69 40-yard dash). He was recently signed from the practice squad following Kyle Rudolph's injury. He came in and played on 54 percent of the team's offensive snaps. He saw four targets (tied with Greg Jennings and Cordarrelle Patterson), but only caught one pass for 17 yards. He almost ended up with a touchdown, but after replay officials took it away from him.

Ford is an intriguing option with Rudolph's injury. Rhett Ellison is the starting tight end, but the Vikings used him as more of a blocker in Week 4. Ford appears to be the receiving option in Minnesota for now.

He only has 12 career receptions so he's not worth starting, but he is worth keeping an eye on in the future.
