Eagles place TE Dallas Goedert on injured reserve

The Eagles placed tight end Dallas Goedert on injured reserve with a knee injury.

Fantasy Impact:

Goedert suffered the injury during Sunday’s win over the Ravens. Technically, Goedert can return for Week 18 against the Giants, but it’s more likely the Eagles will just hold him out until the playoffs. The Eagles are still in contention for a first-round bye, which could give Goedert an extra week of rest. The Eagles signed E.J. Jenkins from their practice squad Saturday and, earlier in the week, signed C.J. Uzomah from their practice squad. Look for the Eagles to find their future tight end in April’s draft.

PHI TE Dallas Goedert - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 at Baltimore Ravens

Dallas Goedert continues to tantalize his fantasy managers without ever really delivering anything. Goedert is the TE12 in points per game this season, which is good. But in the three games he has played since returning from injury, he has only mustered 7.3 Half-PPR points per game, which would be “good” for the TE18 between weeks 9-12. We can probably expect output closer to his seasonal average this week, with a clash against a Ravens side ranking 19th in aFPA to tight ends and DeVonta Smith likely missing out for the Eagles. Goedert should be able to post low-end TE1 numbers in Week 13.
