Cyrus Gray has not made much of an impact in his first two years in the NFL, rushing for 68 yards on 16 carries. Will Gray be more involved in his third NFL season?
Fantasy Upside
Although Kansas City head coach Andy Reid has a pass-happy reputation, he proved last year he can implement a run-oriented attack. Jamaal Charles was hugely successful, but overworked. Should Charles break down, maybe Gray would get more opportunities, especially if Knile Davis’s fumbling issues resurface.
Fantasy Downside
If Kansas City truly had faith in Gray, they would not have drafted Davis last year. A revamped offensive line has the potential to be a detriment, especially since Kansas City’s easy schedule in 2013 has given way to a much tougher one in 2014.
Bottom Line
Gray will remain parked on the bench unless there is an injury epidemic. He is nothing more than waiver wire fodder
