Scouting report

PHI RB Jordan Howard - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 at Washington
Jordan Howard takes over as the primary ball carrier as Miles Sanders is out for now. Howard has been a part of the offense with double-digit touches in all six games he has played. Expect him to get double-digit carries against Washington, a team he had 15 carries for 69 yards.

The Eagles face the WFT who are ranked 6th in aFPA to running backs. Howard should split time with Boston Scott so that should limit him enough to keep him on the bench for Week 17.

PHI RB Jordan Howard - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 vs. New York Giants
Jordan Howard had double-digit carries as he had 15 carries for 69 yards against Washington. Keep an eye on Miles Sanders going into Sunday because if he can't play. Howard will get even more of the load.

Howard faces the Giants who are ranked 22nd in aFPA to running backs. He did not play in the first meeting with New York.

Keep Howard on the bench unless Sanders can't play. If that happens, Howard moves up to a RB3 or flex.

PHI RB Jordan Howard - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 vs. New Orleans
Jordan Howard has had 41 carries over the past three games and has amounted 211 yards at this time. He is not involved in the passing game at all as he has zero catches at this time. But he seems to be the back of choice to run the ball with Miles Sanders still on the shelf.

Howard faces the Saints who have the best run defense in the NFL, ranked 1st in aFPA to running backs. For that reason, Howard's ranking drops to the point where he should remain on the bench for Week 11. If he still on the waiver wire, he probably should stay there as Sanders should be back soon.

PHI RB Jordan Howard - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 at Denver
it's going to be running back by committee for the Eagles with Jordan Howard probably the highest ranked of the three. Howard was a surprise last week with 17 carries for 71 yards and a touchdown. The veteran could repeat those numbers if they go with him most of the time.

Broncos are ranked 7th in aFPA to running backs. Stay away from Howard in your starting lineup because of the matchup and the uncertainty of who is going to get the ball for Philly.

PHI RB Jordan Howard - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 vs. Los Angeles Chargers
Jordan Howard moves up the depth chart with Miles Sanders and Kenneth Gainwell injured. He should get around 10 touches and be a part of the running attack with Boston Scott. However, he would only be a short-term solution and doesn't rank high enough to start Week 9. Keep him on the waiver wire.

MIA RB Jordan Howard - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 vs. Los Angeles Chargers

Jordan Howard saw a season-high 10 carries last week, finishing with 19 yards. He had no targets out of the backfield, either. Howard did score a touchdown, his fourth in five games played. Howard's stat line on the season now is a hilarious 29 touches for 30 yards. He'll be a touchdown-or-bust play this week against the Chargers, assuming Matt Breida remains out. He'll be facing a Chargers defense that's only allowed four rushing touchdowns to running backs so far this season.

MIA RB Jordan Howard - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 at Arizona Cardinals

Jordan Howard may be relevant again this week as the Dolphins have run into running back trouble with Myles Gaskin on injured reserve and Matt Breida nursing a hamstring injury. Still, Howard has been laughably bad this season, rushing 18 times for 14 yards and catching one pass for negative three yards. The only way Howard has a good fantasy outing is if he scores a touchdown, which he's done three times this season. Howard is a touchdown-or-bust play against the Cardinals this week. The Cardinals have allowed just three rushing touchdowns to running backs so far this season.
