The Chiefs have waived their former first-round pick Clyde Edwards-Helaire.

Fantasy Impact:

CEH missed some time this season for mental health reasons, an issue that goes back several years, but the Chiefs are pretty comfortable with their backfield after signing Hunt and recently getting Pacheco back from his leg injury. The team also has Perine and Steele. CEH often played key roles for the Chiefs in their playoff runs, so he may get another chance with another team, but likely isn't going to be fantasy-worthy in typical redraft leagues this season.

KC RB Kareem Hunt - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 at Pittsburgh Steelers

Kareem Hunt saw two more carries and hauled in one more catch than Isiah Pacheco in Week 16. Pacheco hasn't taken the lead role since returning from injury, allowing Hunt to hang around and make this a committee backfield. That's not good for fantasy owners, as the two become one in the same. But it's getting to the point where Hunt may be the preferred option in the backfield. That said, it's championship week. Are you willing to risk that? Hunt is an RB4 this week against a tough Steelers defense.
