We can add a new name to the list of available wide receiver free agents, as the Baltimore Ravens are planning to release WR Jeremy Maclin.

Fantasy Impact:

In his one and only season as a Raven, Maclin played in 12 games. He caught 40 of his 72 targets for 440 yards—all career-lows. Maclin and free agent Mike Wallace were targeted a combined 164 times last season—newcomers John Brown and Ryan Grant could be busy.

Jeremy Maclin was targeted 11 times against the Steelers last week, but he only caught 3 passes for 27 yards. Maclin hasn’t put up more than 41 yards in over a month, and he hasn’t scored since before Halloween. This week, he’ll face a Browns team that has been very average against the wide receiver position this season. Regardless of the matchup, Maclin hasn’t been consistently productive enough to warrant a roster spot.
