Scouting report

DAL QB Cooper Rush - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 vs. Philadelphia Eagles
It's officially Cooper Rush time, for at least one week —depending on if they give Trey Lance a look at some point— and it doesn't look great against an Eagles defense that ranks 8th in QB aFPA. Rush hasn't thrown for 200+ yards since Week 4 of the 2022 season, and even with CeeDee Lamb to throw to, he shouldn't be in any lineups.

DAL QB Cooper Rush - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 at Philadelphia Eagles
Coming off his worst start of the season for fantasy football purposes, Cooper Rush recorded 102 yards and no touchdowns. A major disappointment, even by his standards.

It won't get any better this week going up against a Philadelphia defense that ranks sixth in passing yards allowed and 11th in passing touchdowns allowed. Limiting Kyler Murray to just one score last week, I don't expect Rush to get many good looks. Leave him on your bench.

DAL QB Cooper Rush - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 at Los Angeles Rams
Putting up 232 passing yards while throwing for two touchdowns, Cooper Rush was once again a serviceable fantasy option if your team was in need of a spot start. At this point, we pretty much know what we can expect from Rush. Nothing flashy, but seems to be able to put up double-digit points.

This week he takes on a Los Angeles Rams team that just allowed Jimmy Garoppolo to throw for 237 yards and a score. I expect more of the same from Rush. Numbers that won't win you a week, but can put some points on the board if you're in a deep league or struggling at the quarterback position.

DAL QB Cooper Rush - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 vs. Washington Commanders
Coming off yet another victory last week, Cooper Rush threw for 215 yards and one touchdown. No eye-popping stats here, but serviceable production if you are in a pinch. Rush is not flashy and has been more of a game manager, but he is getting the job done.

This week going up against Washington who just got torched by Jalen Hurts for 340 yards and three touchdowns, Rush could see his best game yet. With that said, as with past weeks, you are only starting Rush if you are desperate or in super deep leagues.

DAL QB Cooper Rush - Week 3 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 at New York Giants
Filling in for Dak Prescott while he recovers from a thumb injury, Cooper Rush pulled out the win against Cincinnati last weekend. Putting up 235 yards and a touchdown, Rush looked pretty solid. He was able to involve his pass catchers and exceeded expectations.

This week he goes up against the New York Giants who just held Baker Mayfield to 145 yards and one score. There is a chance Rush gets another weapon back in Michael Gallup, however, this doesn't move the needle too much for me. Only start Rush if you are in a pinch or a 2QB league. You could do worse.

DAL QB Cooper Rush - Week 2 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 vs. Cincinnati Bengals
With Dak Prescott out with injury for the foreseeable future, this is Cooper Rush's team now. Going against a Cincinnati defense that allowed just 194 passing yards and a touchdown to Mitch Trubisky, I don't like Rush's chances here.

Rush did put up over 300 yards and two touchdowns in his one start last season. However, I expect Dallas to lean on their running game to alleviate some pressure from Rush. Either way, you are not starting Rush unless you are decimated at quarterback. Let's see how he does this week before inserting him into lineups.
