GB WR Christian Watson - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 vs. New Orleans Saints
If you've held on to Christian Watson at any point throughout the 2024 season, you know how it works by now: either the wide receiver is coming down with some monster downfield catches to produce a fantastic fantasy day, or he doesn't. Since returning to the lineup in Week 6, Watson has cleared 13 fantasy points on three occasions while scoring 1.0 or fewer in two of the remaining five games. He is the truest form of boom/bust and should be reserved as a WR4 option for fantasy managers who absolutely have to chase a ceiling in Week 16.

GB WR Christian Watson - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 @ Detroit Lions
Christian Watson could catch a 40-yard bomb at any moment, but those moments hadn't been too frequent as of late, resulting in 1.0, 5.9, and 7.2 half-PPR points from Weeks 7-9. Managers who threw caution to the wind last week were very well compensated though, as he took down receptions of 25, 48, and 60 yards, flashing the exact reason why he's such a boom-bust option. He's in a similar situation here against a Lions secondary ranked 18th in WR aFPA; he's obviously got a great ceiling but a non-existent floor. Fire him up as a WR4 for week-winning upside, but look elsewhere if you're trying to avoid risk.

GB WR Christian Watson - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 @ Chicago Bears
Christian Watson could catch a 40-yard bomb at any moment, but those moments haven't been too frequent as of late, resulting in 1.0, 5.9, and 7.2 half-PPR points over his last three weeks. He now only has one double-digit point performance, a 3-68-1 stat line in Week 6. Watson should be reserved for large-field DFS tournaments at this point, and can't be started in any but the (very) deepest leagues.

GB WR Christian Watson - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 vs. Houston Texans
Like most every other pass-catcher in Green Bay in 2024, it's going to be hard to get truly consistent week-to-week fantasy production out of them. With Watson's hamstrings fully healthy, we should see far better numbers than we saw last year, but that doesn't mean he's suddenly going to be absorbing 7-8 targets per game. With that said, he could easily break a long one against this Texans defense, which makes him a great boom/bust WR3 option.
