KC RB Charcandrick West - Week 18 Fantasy Football Outlook

Wild Card Round vs. Tennessee Titans

Charcandrick West has only had carries in two of the Chiefs' last six games. He sometimes has a small role in the passing game, but not nearly enough to warrant fantasy consideration. Kareem Hunt owns this backfield, and West is lucky to see snaps.

Week 17 at Denver Broncos

Charcandrick West could get some increased playing time this week if the Chiefs decide to rest Kareem Hunt. West has seen minimal playing time this season, but he would be the direct backup to Hunt. His uncertainty, though, makes him a hard-to-trust option in fantasy this week.

Week 6 vs. Pittsburgh Steelers

Charcandrick West had an interesting game last week, touching the ball only three times, but scoring twice. Some might be intrigued by his two scores, but it was clearly just a case of having a good week. West doesn't get enough touches to warrant fantasy consideration this week.

Week 2 vs. Philadelphia Eagles

Charcandrick West only had two touches last week, although he did use one of those touches to score a touchdown. But if Week 1 is any indication, the Chiefs plan to heavily rely on Kareem Hunt. West's touchdown only came when he filled in after Hunt took a bit of a breather. We don't expect West to get enough touches to be relevant in fantasy.

KC RB Charcandrick West - Week 1 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 1 vs. New England Patriots

Charcandrick West could be a factor this week with Spencer Ware out. He will be the immediate backup to rookie Kareem Hunt. While Hunt gets the start, his lack of experience could give West a few more chances. This is West's fourth season with Kansas City, and he's shown some promise in the past.

While West may get some touches this week, we don't expect him to factor too much into the Chiefs' game plan. So far, the Chiefs seem happy with Hunt as their starter, which means West likely won't be on the field enough to make an impact in fantasy.

Divisional Round vs. Pittsburgh
Charcandrick West could have success this week if Spencer Ware isn't 100 percent. Ware is officially listed as questionable, but is expected to play. As it stands, we expect Ware to be just fine, which means West won't see enough touches to be relevant.

Week 10 vs. Carolina
Charcandrick West's value solely depends on Spencer Ware's availability. If Ware plays, West is pretty much off of the fantasy radar. If Ware is inactive, West will be a low-end RB2 or RB3 due to the difficult matchup against the Panthers. West didn't play well last week when he got the bulk of the touches out of the backfield.
