Week 4 vs. Kansas City
Wheaton had just one catch for two yards last week on five targets, but he had a couple of drops -- including one in the end zone. He'll continue to get worked back into shape, especially with Eli Rogers out. He's not worth starting at this point, however.

Week 2 vs. Cincinnati
After sitting out last week with a shoulder injury, Wheaton will return this week. Wheaton's best game against Cincinnati last season came in the second half - not surprisingly - when he got seven targets and caught four passes for 65 yards. The Bengals will focus on stopping Antonio Brown, which should leave Wheaton and the other receivers. That said, Wheaton is more of a flex play in this one as the Steelers will be run-heavy against Cincinnati's cover-2 defense.

2016 Fantasy Outlook
Many seem to forget it was Wheaton, not Martavis Bryant who started opposite Antonio Brown for the majority of the 2015 season. Wheaton is partly to blame for that as he disappeared for long stretches of last season and had more than four targets in a game just once in the first half. But he became much more involved down the stretch, getting at least five targets in each of the final six games of the regular season. It was no coincidence that four of his five touchdowns also came during that stretch, including a monster game at Seattle where he caught nine passes for 201 yards and a score. With Bryant out for the entire 2016 season and Heath Miller now retired, look for Wheaton to improve on last year's line of 44-759-5. His 17.0 yards per catch also were two yards better than what Bryant averaged, so Wheaton can be a deep threat. His ADP has him going in the ninth round of 10-round drafts and 11th in 12-team leagues. Wheaton should outperform that and catch around 60 passes for 800-900 yards.
