FanDuel Week 4 Values & Top Plays
Save for Reggie Bush and Megatron, it seemed like players in last week’s Lions-Packers game Nate Freese-d it up fantasy-wise. The Lions served as a reminder that a strong defensive front can heavily impact a game and mask any deficiencies on the back end. Andrew Quarless scored the Packers’ only TD; cheap TEs on teams with elite QBs are always sneaky plays.
Since I can’t blurb every DFS-relevant player, the following are some quick tidbits that are important for this week, but aren’t otherwise mentioned in the article.
- The Jets rank 31st in QB aFPA and 29th in WR aFPA; break out your Stafford-Mega stacks.
- The 49ers rank 26th in QB aFPA an 32nd in WR aFPA; don’t shy away from the Eagles this week.
- The Eagles are allowing opposing offenses to run 73 plays per game, 30th in the NFL. That gives a boost to the 49ers, who have only run 60 per game (25th in NFL) thus far.
- DeMarco Murray proved once again his production can survive a negative game script; he rushed for 100 yards and a TD even after the Cowboys went down 21-0. Murray’s price is climbing, but he’s still worth it.
- LeVeon Bell is playing like the best RB in the league. He’s liable for a monster game every week.
- Ahmad Bradshaw has six red zone pass targets, more than all but four WRs.
On to this week’s values and top plays.

QB Philip Rivers vs. JAC $8,400
The Jaguars are giving up 333 passing yards and 2.67 passing TDs per game with 8.08 yards per attempt and a 68 percent completion percentage to boot. In addition to giving up efficiency numbers, the Jaguars are allowing volume too; opposing teams average a league-leading 79 offensive snaps per game. Despite losing starting center Nick Hardwick for all but nine passing snaps in 2014, Rivers has taken just one sack. Because Drew Brees ($9,200) tends to have hiccups on the road, Rivers is the safest cash game option this week, and he has a ton of upside at his mid-tier salary.
