Week 9 Essential NFL Practice News & Notes for Wednesday
Patriots QB Tom Brady (ankle) practiced fully Wednesday. No worries here.
Redskins QB Robert Griffin III (ankle) practiced fully Wednesday. Griffin has been medically cleared to play and Dianna Marie Russini of NBC4 in Washington, D.C. reported via Twitter that Griffin will indeed start against the Vikings.
Cowboys QB Tony Romo (back) did not practice Wednesday. Owner Jerry Jones said that the injury is a “function of pain tolerance,” and that it would come down to a game-time decision. The Cowboys play early on Sunday.
Chiefs QB Alex Smith (right shoulder) practiced fully Wednesday. Smith should be fine for a great matchup against the Jets. He had a great matchup in Week 8, but failed to score a touchdown as the Chiefs found other ways to score.
Jets QB Geno Smith (right shoulder) took limited practice reps Wednesday. Michael Vick is expected to start against the Chiefs.
