Stacking the Deck: FanDuel & DraftKings Stacks for Week 14

Week 13 was a good week for Stacking the Deck, but then again, there were not a lot of wrong answers in such a high scoring week. The majority of the chalk hit, as well as many popular GPP options. Going forward, it is important to try and diversify yourselves in tournaments with both lineup construction and at times paying up to be contrarian. One of the biggest mistakes we tend to make is overestimating matchups between wide receivers and cornerbacks in the NFL. Perhaps a greater number of wide receivers are matchup-proof than initially thought. GPPs are a great spot to take advantage of a stud at low a ownership just because of a perceived sub-optimal matchup. In a week where the chalk does poorly, plays like that will often put you in a great spot.

Two Man Stacks
Tyrod Taylor ($7500 FD / $5400 DK) & Sammy Watkins ($7200 FD / $6100 DK) @ PHI
It seems Tyrod Taylor has put his shoulder injury behind him, as he had no problem being aggressive as a runner in Week 13, especially in the red zone. He now has had back-to-back impressive fantasy weeks in difficult on-paper matchups against the Chiefs and Texans. Sammy Watkins’ utilization in the offense is legitimate a concern after he logged just four targets last week, but he has certainly been making some electric plays as of late for the Bills. Watkins has been torching defenders deep even though he is better known for turning short routes into long gains. Where Watkins is special is in his patience on his vertical routes. He often will take the space the defender gives him and wait for the moment they get out of position to make his move and break free. Just when the defender is accounting for the deep route, Watkins is fully capable of getting them to turn their hips and then hurt them in the short-to-intermediate game. This week, the Bills draw an Eagles defense that is our 29th ranked defense against quarterbacks and 32nd ranked defense against wide receivers according to aFPA.
