Sneaky Starts: Wacky Week 17
It’s Week 17, so I’m going with a shorter format this week. Let’s take a look at the top Sneaky Starts for Wacky Week 17.
Quarterbacks
- Matt Ryan (vs. NO) played well (306 yards, TD) against a good Carolina defense last week, and he will have a much easier task against the Saints, who have been historically bad on defense this year. The Saints are yielding 8.7 YPA and have given up 43 pass touchdowns in 15 games.
- Brian Hoyer (vs. JAX) has been cleared to play and will start against the Jaguars, who are 30th in QB aFPA. He has thrown at least two touchdowns in seven of his last nine games.
- Alex Smith (vs. OAK) is the #15 QB in fantasy and his matchup against the Raiders (#21 in QB aFPA) is favorable.
- Sam Bradford (@ NYG) has thrown for a combined 741 yards and three touchdowns in the last two games and the Giants have been generous to quarterbacks this year.
