Exploiting Defenses in DFS - Wild Card
The NFL Playoffs begin this week with four games. Typically, we can exploit tougher matchups on a weekly basis, but with the playoffs, the teams are better and have fewer weaknesses. However, each team does have a slight crack we can exploit.
It’s one thing to look at match-ups and see which team is allowing points to a position. Each week, I’ll help you exploit specific defensive players and also touch on non-skill offensive players (read: the offensive line) to help you make the right choices on which players to roster and which players to fade in DFS lineups.
Last week we had our hits with Julio Jones, Brandon Marshall, Jordan Matthews, Calvin Johnson and Rashad Jennings. We also had our misses with Martavis Bryant, Michael Floyd, and Doug Baldwin. Let’s enjoy the wins and try to increase our hit rate even more during Wild Card weekend.

Situations to Exploit in the Passing Game
A.J. Green gets his third crack at the Steelers, and if it goes anything like the other two, he’s a must-play in all formats this week. Green received 26 targets in two previous games against Pittsburgh this season, compiling 250 yards and two scores. It didn’t really matter who covered him, either. Cornerback Antwon Blake was responsible for 10 catches, 183 yards and a score, while Ross Cockrell was responsible for Green's other touchdown. As of now, it appears that Cockrell will spend most of his time covering Green. Cockrell has allowed 63 percent of the balls thrown his way to be caught this season, while giving up 604 yards and four scores. Green should be one of the first players in your lineup.
