Stacking the Deck: FanDuel & DraftKings Stacks for Week 3
This season at 4for4 we will be providing subscribers with not just Value Reports for the individual players at each position, but reports that valuate every stack in terms of projected points per dollar, or Stack Value Reports, to help you construct your tournament rosters.
The goal of stacking is to create a high ceiling for your tournament lineup. A common mistake I see people make when constructing tournament rosters is picking all contrarian players. Yes, uniqueness is important for a lot of reasons, but so is picking the right players. There’s nothing wrong with taking a value play in your tournament lineup or going after a stud or situation that seems obvious. A player that comes to mind is Antonio Brown. Last week in the DraftKings Millionaire Maker Tournament he was 28% owned. The winner of the Millionaire Maker did in fact include Brown in his lineup, but he also had Travis Benjamin go off for 35.5 points. You don’t want a lineup full of Travis Benjamin types, but you don’t want all highly owned players like Antonio Brown either. It’s all about balance.
Stacking is a great opportunity to gain uniqueness and upside. Here are my top stacks for Week 3.

Top Stacks
Andrew Luck ($7900 DK / $9000 FD) & Donte Moncrief ($4800 DK / $6000 FD) @ TEN
Andrew Luck’s performance the last two weeks has left a lot to be desired, as he has been blitzed on 47.9 percent of his dropbacks -- third highest in the NFL. Luck already has eight turnovers this season, but I'd expect things to go differently against the Titans than they did the past few weeks against the stout defenses of the Bills and Jets. The two biggest problems contributing to Luck’s inefficiencies are his team’s inability to pass protect and their lack of running game. 4for4’s matchup ratings show the Titans as the 28th-best run defense, which should open things up in the passing game. Speaking of the passing game, Donte Moncrief is vastly underpriced on both FanDuel and DraftKings. With Andre Johnson seemingly having lost a step, expect Moncrief to take over the number-two receiver role in the Colts' offense. Moncrief has been running a greater variety of routes as of late, as well as proving to be more of a deep threat. In Week 3 against a poor Titans secondary, he represents the very high ceiling you are looking for in a tournament.
