DraftKings Week 8 GPP Breakdown
Week 7 Millionaire Maker winner Guzzi52314 took down the grand prize with a balanced lineup and a strong day from a 7.7 percent owned Rob Gronkowski.
Every spot in the lineup -- including defense -- scored at least one TD. His lineup scored 13 TDs in all. It's also worth noting that every player in the lineup hit a yardage bonus.
In the space below, I'll focus on players I believe to be strong tournament plays based on their potential for high volume, multi-touchdown upside, and low projected ownership. I won't blurb the chalk plays (Philip Rivers, Todd Gurley, Justin Forsett, Stefon Diggs, Keenan Allen, Antonio Brown, Martavis Bryant, Tyler Eifert, and the Rams) -- they're all justifiable GPP options (with Brown and Gurley being particularly elite options), but you won't take home big money by stuffing your entire lineup with chalk. Use chalk plays selectively, a few at a time, filling out the rest of your roster with players likely to be low-owned who have high-volume and multi-touchdown upside in their range of outcomes. As usual, I draw heavily from my Ownership Outlook column, and all the players I highlight below are players I believe you should have more exposure to than the field. Since who you fade can be just as important as who you play in a GPP, I've also added a "Fades" section at the end where I briefly highlight any highly-owned players that I believe you should have less exposure to than the field, or no exposure at all to.

Passing Game
Despite ranking second among QBs in DraftKings points per game, Andy Dalton ($6,000) has seen his price decrease by $100 from the start of the season. He draws a Steelers defense that is better at defending the run (7th in RB aFPA) than the pass (17th in QB aFPA). The matchup should be no problem for Dalton, who eclipsed 20 DraftKings points in all three of his matchups versus teams ranked in the top 10 in QB aFPA. A.J. Green ($7,600) has averaged 20.8 DraftKings points in 33 career road games, but only 13.8 DraftKings points in 32 career home games. The Bengals will be in Pittsburgh this Sunday. Green has caught at least eight balls in each of his last three meetings against the Steelers.
