Week 16 Essential NFL Practice News & Notes for Wednesday
Jaguars QB Blake Bortles (right shoulder) practiced fully Wednesday. Bortles is an intriguing (a.k.a. gutsy) play this week against the Titans, who have the league’s worst QB aFPA.
Patriots QB Tom Brady (thigh) took limited practice reps Wednesday. Brady will be fine for Saturday’s game against the Jets.
Rams QB Jared Goff (concussion) practiced fully Wednesday. Goff is on track to play. He has a fantastic matchup with the 49ers.
Colts QB Andrew Luck (right shoulder, right thumb) took limited practice reps Wednesday. This is typical for Luck. He should be out there against the Raiders.
Panthers QB Cam Newton (right shoulder) took limited practice reps Wednesday. Newton should be able to play through the shoulder injury as he did last week.
Jets QB Bryce Petty (chest) practiced fully Wednesday. Petty will start against the Patriots. It’s good news for Robby Anderson, who has 240 yards and two touchdowns over the last three weeks.
Packers QB Aaron Rodgers (calf) practiced fully Wednesday. Rodgers didn’t practice at all last week, so this is a significant upgrade. He should have more mobility this week.
Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger (not injury related) did not practice Wednesday. It’s a day of rest for Big Ben.
Broncos QB Trevor Siemian (foot, hip) practiced fully Wednesday. Siemian should be able to play but it’s not shaping up to be a good matchup in Kansas City.
Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill (knee) did not practice Wednesday. Matt Moore should get the start against the Bills.
Bills QB Tyrod Taylor (groin) practiced fully Wednesday. Taylor will be fine to face the Dolphins.
