Week 3 Essential NFL Practice News & Notes for Thursday
Bears QB Jay Cutler (right thumb) missed practice again Thursday. Cutler is expected to miss 2-3 weeks, though there are reports that he’s pushing to play in Week 3. Brian Hoyer will very likely start. He’s not much of a downgrade from Cutler at this point, so the Bears’ skill position players shouldn’t lose much value with Hoyer under center.
Bengals QB Andy Dalton (hip) took full practice reps again Thursday. Dalton should be fine for Sunday.
Bills QB Cardale Jones (right shoulder) took limited practice reps again Thursday.
Steelers QB Landry Jones (back) was added to the injury report Thursday after missing practice.
Colts QB Andrew Luck (right shoulder) returned to limited practice reps Thursday after missing Wednesday practice. Luck should be fine to play in a good matchup with the Chargers.
Browns QB Josh McCown (left shoulder) missed practice again Thursday. McCown is expected to miss multiple games. Cody Kessler will start in the meantime.
Jets QB Bryce Petty (right shoulder) missed practice again Thursday.
Cowboys QB Tony Romo (back) missed practice again Thursday. Dak Prescott will continue to start.
Seahawks QB Russell Wilson (ankle) practiced fully Wednesday. Wilson said he’s “definitely feeling better” this week in practice.
Broncos RB C.J. Anderson (ribs) took full practice reps again Thursday. The full practice indicates that CJA is good to go. Devontae Booker is the primary backup.
