Week 4 Essential NFL Practice News & Notes for Wednesday
Patriots QB Jacoby Brissett (right thumb) took limited practice reps Wednesday. Brissett may end up getting another start this week.
Bears QB Jay Cutler (right thumb) took limited practice reps Wednesday. We’re expecting Brian Hoyer to start in Week 4, though Cutler certainly has a chance to make his return. The Bears play early on Sunday.
Patriots QB Jimmy Garoppolo (right shoulder) took limited practice reps Wednesday. Garoppolo is reportedly still in pain and doesn’t have a full range of motion, so he’s very iffy for Week 4.
Bills QB Cardale Jones (right shoulder) took limited practice reps Wednesday.
Browns QB Cody Kessler (thigh) practiced fully Wednesday.
Colts QB Andrew Luck (right shoulder) took limited practice reps Wednesday. Luck will continue to play through the injury.
Browns QB Josh McCown (left shoulder) did not practice Wednesday.
Jets QB Bryce Petty (right shoulder) did not practice Wednesday.
Cowboys QB Tony Romo (back) did not practice Wednesday.
Falcons QB Matt Ryan (left thumb) practiced fully Wednesday. No worries here.
Bears RB KaDeem Carey (hamstring) and Jeremy Langford (ankle) did not practice Wednesday. It looks like Jordan Howard will start with both Carey and Langford out. He’s a Sneaky Start in what could be a sizable workload against the Lions.
Chiefs RB Jamaal Charles (knee) took limited practice reps Wednesday.
Falcons RB Tevin Coleman (ankle) took limited practice reps Wednesday. Coleman played through the injury so we expect this is just a maintenance day for the young back.
Browns RB Isaiah Crowell (knee) took limited practice reps Wednesday. Crowell is averaging 16 touches and 102 total yards per game, so his matchup with Washington (#31 in RB aFPA) is pretty attractive.
