Streaming Defenses: Week 13 Fantasy Football Targets
Generally, defenses have to be available on the waiver wire in at least 40% of Yahoo fantasy leagues to be eligible as a streaming option. This ensures we are talking about defenses that are readily available.
Last week, the New England Patriots and Carolina Panthers were our top-scoring defenses with 17 fantasy points against the Dolphins and Jets, respectively. They finished as the DST2 in most formats. In Week 12, our targets averaged 12.6 points and, overall, our streaming picks are averaging nearly 10 FP/game.
Continue to target a defense facing a below average or rookie QB or making a long road trip. Week 13 is here, and for a lot of you, fantasy playoffs are beginning. Here are the defenses we're targeting for the upcoming week.
Los Angeles Chargers vs. Browns
The Browns traveling circus makes the West Coast trip to visit the Chargers, who have revenge on their mind, as they were the lone win for the Browns last season.
Joey Bosa and Melvin Ingram were held without a sack last week but should find the sledding easier against Cleveland's offensive line. Bosa, even without the sack, still generated a 17% pressure rate against the Dallas offensive line.
Deznel Perryman has returned to improve the linebacker position.
Casey Hayward has 3 INTs in the last two weeks and also has 16 defended passes. Jahleel Addae leads the team in tackles and has 5 defended passes on the year.
The Browns allergic reaction to points continues and have only scored more than 20 points twice. Cleveland has allowed the second-most schedule-adjusted fantasy points to opposing defenses and I'm still surprised to see such a low ownership for the Chargers. They are available in 68% of leagues this week.
