Week 15 Fantasy Football Practice News & Notes for Thursday
Jaguars QB Blake Bortles (right wrist) took full practice reps again Thursday. Bortles has scored two touchdowns in each of his last three games—4 pass, 2 rush—and he has a fantastic matchup with the Texans, who are No. 30 in QB aFPA. Bortles’ willingness to run the ball (145 rushing yards in his last six games) has raised his floor.
Patriots QB Tom Brady (achilles) took full practice reps again Thursday. No worries here. Brady will be out there against the Steelers. In his last three games against Pittsburgh, Brady has completed 76-of-100 passes for 894 yards (8.94 YPA) with 9 touchdowns and no interceptions.
Titans QB Marcus Mariota (knee) practiced fully Wednesday. It looks like Mariota is a go for Week 15. He has a good matchup but has been a big disappointment this year.
Dolphins QB Matt Moore (foot) returned to limited practice reps Thursday after missing Wednesday practice.
Panthers QB Cam Newton (right shoulder) took limited practice reps again Thursday. Newton has a fantastic matchup against the Packers, who are No. 29 in QB aFPA.
Bills QB Nathan Peterman (concussion) took full practice reps Thursday after being limited Wednesday.
Texans QB Tom Savage (concussion) missed practice again Thursday.
Lions QB Matthew Stafford (right hand) took full practice reps again Thursday. Stafford will be good to go to face the Bears. He has averaged 258 passing yards and 1.75 total touchdowns in his last four games versus Chicago.
Bills QB Tyrod Taylor (knee) took full practice reps again Thursday. It looks like Taylor will get the start in Week 15. There was some fear that Buffalo would get hit by another blizzard this weekend, but it looks like it’s not going to snow heavily on Sunday. Taylor has averaged 230 total yards and 1.58 total touchdowns in his last 14 home games.
