Week 16 Fantasy Football Practice News & Notes for Thursday
Jaguars QB Blake Bortles (right wrist) took full practice reps again Thursday. Bortles is our No. 12 quarterback this week in a great matchup against the 49ers. He has racked up 903 yards and 7 touchdowns in his last three starts.
Browns QB DeShone Kizer (ribs) was added to the injury report Thursday after taking full practice reps. This looks like a midweek downgrade so we’ll see what Kizer is able to do on Friday. The full reps are encouraging.
Broncos QB Paxton Lynch (ankle) took limited practice reps again Thursday.
Dolphins QB Matt Moore (foot) took limited practice reps again Thursday.
Panthers QB Cam Newton (right shoulder) took limited practice reps again Thursday. After throwing for 242 yards and 4 touchdowns last week against the Packers, Newton has another good matchup this week against the Bucs.
Bills QB Nathan Peterman (concussion) took full practice reps again Thursday.
Texans QB Tom Savage (concussion) missed practice Thursday.
Titans QB Brandon Weeden (not injury related) returned to full practice reps Thursday after missing Wednesday.
Texans QB T.J. Yates (knee) took full practice reps Thursday.
Patriots RB Brandon Bolden (groin) took limited practice reps again Thursday.
49ers RB Matt Breida (knee) took limited practice reps Wednesday.
Patriots RB Rex Burkhead (knee) missed practice again Thursday. If Burkhead sits, look for Mike Gillislee to get another chance to tote the ball. Gillislee has been on the shelf since Week 9, but his snaps really started to dry up after he fumbled in Week 6. Dion Lewis will serve as the lead back, but Gillislee could see 8-10 carries in a great matchup against the Bills, who are last in the league in RB aFPA.
