4 Wide Receivers Going Way Too High in Drafts (Busts)
Summer is a wonderful time of year, especially for fantasy football. The months are filled with mock drafts, sleepers, breakouts, and endless euphoric analysis and discussion about the game we all love.
Yet, there’s a dark side to summer too. A part of every fantasy draft that lurks in the darkness, waiting to sneakily sabotage the best-laid plans and draft strategies.
I am, of course, referring to busts.
More Overvalued Candidates: QB | RB | TE
To be honest, I’m not the biggest fan of the term “bust.” All of these NFL players are world-class athletes leagues better at their vocation than any of us can ever hope to be at any skill, much less what we do for a living. They endure endless training and sacrifice to reach the pinnacle of their field, and we computer chair warriors cast them aside as “busts.”
But I digress. Connotations of the term aside, identifying players who might not live up to their ADP is an essential part of preparing for any fantasy football season. And that’s why you’re likely reading this article now. Below you’ll find four wide receivers I find particularly overvalued, and who I’ve yet to draft in any format so far this year. I detail my reasons below, but if you have counterarguments or would like to dive in further, feel free to keep the conversation going on Twitter @AlexGelhar.
