What Changed

Demaryius Thomas won’t be back, but the Texans did retain Seantrel Henderson and added Matt Kalil at offensive tackle as well as signed Darren Fells. That being said, by no means is Houston secure at tackle or tight end. Surprisingly, there wasn’t a lot of movement with Houston’s offense.

The Impact

Frankly, the impact, much like the “What Changed” section, aren’t all that great here. The Texans must protect DeShaun Watson better, but he also brings some of that upon himself with his style of play and holding the football for so long. With Watson and DeAndre Hopkins, Houston has a nice offensive core in place. But just imagine if the blocking were even league average?

What To Expect

This upcoming draft absolutely has to be about upgrading the offensive line for Houston. Tight end and running back also could be addressed earlier than what some might imagine, so overall, Watson’s offense might be getting a shot in the arm from their rookie class. If you are a Watson believer (which you should be by the way), getting in on the ground floor with incoming rookies and players like Keke Coutee in this offense might be a very wise investment at minimal cost. This also might be the best time to buy Watson for dynasty.
