IDP Matchups & Sleepers: Week 13
Each week, I'm going to go through our IDP rankings and look at some of the top matchups and sleeper picks for the week at each position. My IDP brother-in-arms, Ross Miles, will have your IDP waiver wire covered. If you have specific questions pertaining to your lineup, you can always refer to the ranks or hit me up on Twitter @Mike_Woellert.
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!! Now, let's see what Week 13 has in store for us.
Linebacker
Lavonte David, ILB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Jacksonville Jaguars
The Jaguars are always a good team to target with linebackers, and if you're a Lavonte David (or Devin White, for that matter) owner, I think you're in for a solid week of production. Since the bye week, David has been averaging nearly nine tackles per game and has four games of 15 or more fantasy points. The Jaguars offense has allowed 16 tackles per game to opposing 3-4 ILBs this season. David is a strong LB1 for me this week.
Tremaine Edmunds, ILB, Buffalo Bills vs. Dallas Cowboys
Edmunds has been up and down all season, and really only has a few games that truly stand out. I do think he's in a terrific spot for production against the Cowboys this week. I think Dallas will give Ezekiel Elliott 20-plus carries. 4-3 MLB are averaging around nine tackles per game against Dallas's offense, so I do think Edmunds should find himself in Dallas's backfield with plenty of tackle opportunities this week.
Zach Cunningham, ILB, Houston Texans vs. New England Patriots
Cunningham has had a nice three-game stretch where he's recorded 35 tackles over his last 178 defensive snaps - resulting in a 19.7% tackle rate and 0.38 fantasy points per snap. He's in a favorable matchup with New England's offense. Opposing 3-4 ILBs are averaging just over 13 tackles per game against the New England offense - Cunningham could be busy with James White and Sony Michel this week.
Todd Davis, ILB, Denver Broncos vs. Los Angles Chargers
Going back to Todd Davis in his second go-around with the Chargers. In their Week 5 tilt, Davis recorded seven solo tackles. The Chargers are deploying more of Melvin Gordon and Austin Ekeler, and Davis should also be responsible for covering Hunter Henry for some snaps. Even with missing two games, Davis is on pace for 115 tackles and is producing a highly efficient 13.3% tackle rate.
Sleeper
Cole Holcomb, ILB, Washington Redskins vs. Carolina Panthers
After receiving just 48% of the snaps in Week 9, Holcomb has received 60% or more of the snaps in consecutive weeks and has a favorable matchup against the Panthers. The Panthers are allowing the second-most points to opposing linebackers and their offense is allowing 15 tackles per game to opposing 3-4 ILBs. Bostic might be getting the majority of the snaps, but I like Holcomb's upside more than Bostic's this week.
