10 ADP Risers and Fallers Over the Final Week of August
As we approach the pinnacle of draft season, when the majority of your home or friends and family drafts take place, analyzing BB10 ADP from week-to-week is helpful to gather an overall impression of when players are leaving draft boards. Drafters of BB10 best-ball leagues tend to be sharper than your average fantasy football participant, so you may find players will slip a bit further in some leagues than others.
In other words, ADP data is very useful but is not everything, so don’t ride or die with it.
In the second piece in this series, I’ll take a look at some of the biggest risers and fallers over the past week, comparing their ADP from last week to the week before, and assess how you should approach those players moving forward. A player’s ADP can change for a plethora of reasons and diving into the cause of that movement can certainly help come draft time.
Note: The number in parenthesis represents their overall +/- ADP jump and positional ADP jump.
Biggest Risers
James Conner - RB, Steelers (+10.0 ADP, + 3 POS ADP)
The rise in James Conner’s ADP is not something that’s super obvious. His role in the Pittsburgh offense has not changed over the past week, but perhaps drafters gained some confidence in his ability to stay healthy and are secure in the fact that Conner decided not to opt-out and play in 2020.
When healthy, the 25-year old has averaged 18.3 touches for 93 yards, translating to 16.4 half-PPR points, which would have been RB7 numbers last season. Conner’s ADP has been steadily rising over the course of August and I have personally seen him leaving draft boards as early as the second round on some sites. It should settle somewhere in the third, but if Conner falls to the fourth or even early-fifth as his BB10 ADP indicates, scoop him up and don’t look back.
Damien Harris - RB, Patriots (+6.9 ADP, +7 POS ADP)
