Streaming Quarterbacks: Week 8 Targets
Week 8 is the tipping point for most fantasy leagues. We’re starting the descent into playoffs and managers should be making roster moves with the future in mind. Typically that means we’re finding backups to stash, but the strategy also applies to quarterbacks. Over the next few weeks, we’ll be eyeing the fantasy playoffs and finding quarterbacks to stash for your championship run.

Arizona, Houston, Jacksonville, and Washington are on their scheduled byes this week. We watched multiple starters disappoint last week. More teams will be turning to the waiver wire for relief in Week 8. Let’s dive into last week’s recommendations for any adjustments to our process look at next week’s slate of games.
Week 7 Review
We all hoped Andy Dalton could turn things around after the Cowboys’ disastrous performance in Week 6. There were more drops, poorly-placed passes, and Dalton was knocked out on a late hit. It’ll be some time before we can trust anyone from Dallas, but let’s take a look at the other recommendations from Week 7.

- Andy Dalton – 2.6 pts (QB27)
Deep Play
- Kyle Allen – 16.9 pts (QB18)
- Derek Carr – 19.3 pts (QB12)
- Daniel Jones – 20.7 pts (QB11)
- Baker Mayfield – 29.8 pts (QB6)
Derek Carr was a pure process play, but the Raiders couldn’t have had a more tumultuous week. Their offensive line was sent home due to COVID results and the players weren't activated until Friday. It wouldn’t be a surprise if fantasy managers stayed away from Carr, but it’s a positive sign that the analysis was accurate. The others were a function of defenses we’ll be targeting throughout the season (Bengals, Eagles, and Cowboys). Our strategy will typically start there and then we can further analyze game environments to find the most optimal plays.
