2022 Genesis Invitational Round 4 Betting & Showdown Picks
After sinking a 22-foot putt for eagle from the 10th fairway, Joaquin Niemann sat at 21-under par and looked utterly invincible. While he missed one fairway after another and struggled on the final eight holes by shooting 2-over par, he still holds a three-shot lead over rookie Cameron Young. His 19-under total set the new Genesis Invitational scoring record through 54 holes. He holds an even more commanding six-shot lead over the third-place contender, Viktor Hovland. Niemann's 3-under 68 allowed the chance for other players to jump back into contention, but Hovland was the only one who came close to taking advantage. After a birdie on the opening hole, Justin Thomas was stuck in neutral for the entire round, finishing with a 1-under 70 and is seven shots back. Plenty of big names round out the top-10, including Collin Morikawa, Scottie Scheffler and Max Homa. But with odds to win at -250, it is Niemann's tournament to lose. He should sleep easy with Young the only player in shouting distance.
