Connor Allen: 4 Week 12 Player Props I'm Betting

As the legalization of sports betting continues to explode, more and more people are diving into a new way of speculating on sports. For those just starting off, I broke down some of the basics in my gambling 101 piece. Among every category of bets, player props remain the most beatable in the long run. Last year, I hit 59% of my bets for +35 units on the season. The two years prior were much of the same, hitting 57% and 58%, respectively, of my player props for profitable seasons. I have improved every year and think that trend will continue with new tools. I’ve already fired off a handful of bets for Week 12 and will be adding more here. Week 11 Recap: Week 11 marked my eighth straight winning week of props, going 9-4 for 4.32 units. As per usual, there were some tough beats. We got on Rashod Bateman over 37.5 receiving yards early in the week prior to Lamar Jackson’s illness. When the quarterback was announced out, we tried to middle Bateman and took under 55.5 receiving yards. He finished with just 29 receiving yards on six targets, only missing on a number of passes that would have hit our middle. The report of Clyde Edwards-Helaire being eased in turned out to be bogus as he dominated snaps and touches for the Chiefs and busted our under 60.5 rushing and receiving yards prop with ease. On the other hand, we got unbelievably lucky on Jeff Wilson Jr. under 19.5 carries. He had 10 on the first drive and 14 at halftime, yet we somehow still cashed the under. A lot of that had to do with the 49ers being up by so much that even the eternally dog-housed Trey Sermon saw some serious action.
