NFL Week 17: Weekend Specials Bets
Week 16 Recap: We did it. We finally hit a long shot after a few close sweats the past couple of weeks. The craziest thing about last week was that we were so close to cashing more bets than what we actually did.
Tee Higgins shredded the Ravens as he eclipsed 194 receiving yards—69 more yards than the next highest WR—to cash us a +4500 ticket. It was this explosion as to why we are constantly targeting the Bengals at these prices.
Not only did we properly bet on the top WR, but Ja'Marr Chase tied for the second-most receiving yards.
Another long shot in Kyle Pitts finished eighth in receiving.
Now when looking at the RB position, we correctly identified Sony Michel as a play as he proceeded to hit 131 yards on the ground. He looked likely to hit this throughout the morning games until Rex Burkhead had a career day with 149 yards rushing.
The QB position here is a little bit tilting as this was the first time in four weeks where we didn't bet Joe Burrow to have the most passing yards on Sunday, and this was the week he hit it. To be fair, this was the highest he was priced (+1400) over the past five weeks when we were constantly hitting him in the +1800-+2000 range.
We knew our Dak Prescott bet was dead when he entered his matchup due to Burrow's historic day, but his performance was beyond encouraging for the process. Dak had 321 passing yards at halftime (most by any QB this season) before getting benched in the third quarter due to a massively lopsided score.
The process has been extremely strong over the past three weeks as we have the following finishes:
- 1st – Tee Higgins (Week 16, +4500)
- 2nd – Ja'Marr Chase (Week 16, +3400)
- 2nd – Joe Burrow (Week 14, +2000)
- 2nd – D'Onta Foreman (Week 15, +4300)
- 3rd – Sony Michel (Week 16, +2500)
- 3rd – Dak Prescott (Week 16, +1300)
