NBA Player Prop Bets: Can Brandon Ingram Get The Pelicans Back on Track?

Despite this being the first Sunday without NFL football since September, we only have six total NBA games, four of which start at 6 PM EST or later. These four games will be considered the “main” slate of games and, as a result, the focus of my three favorite props that are outlined below.

Today’s NBA Player Prop Bets (February 5, 2023)

Fred VanVleet Over 30.5 Points + Assists (-102 at FanDuel)

After a forgettable start to the season, Fred VanVleet has been one of the hottest guards in the league over the last few weeks as he’s completely revitalized his play.

Over his last 10 games, VanVleet has averaged 27.1 points in 38.5 minutes per game, taking nearly 20 shots per game (19.8) and shooting at a 47% clip, including 41.5% from deep. He’s ranked second on the team with a 25.3% usage rate over that span and has posted an impressive 57.1% true shooting percentage. Not only has he been scoring at will, but he’s also led the team in facilitating, averaging a team-high 12.7 potential assists and 7.4 assists per game over that span.

A date with the Grizzlies isn’t necessarily an easy one, but Dillon Brooks is set to serve a one-game suspension, easing VanVleet’s individual defensive matchup, and the Grizzlies also play at the fifth-fastest pace in the league this season (7th-fastest over the last 10 games). This should afford VanVleet additional possessions and opportunities to score against a softer matchup than he’d initially expected to see, giving him another astronomical ceiling on Sunday.
