NBA Player Prop Bets: Dame Dices Up the Wolves

When you are very confident about a prop and believe there is enough upside to betting some alternate lines, that is called laddering. The best way to give yourself some more upside with the alternate lines but also keep your risk in check is to lower the amount of the bet on each step of the ladder. As the prop becomes less and less likely, the bettor takes on less risk but gives themselves an opportunity for upside. This should not be done for every bet and when laddering, knowing the desired stopping point is critical for risk maintenance long term.
