Slowly inhale… good… now slowly exhale… breathe. We made it. The NBA trade deadline is behind us and what a wild deadline it turned out to be. Kevin Durant is a Sun, more second-round draft picks were traded than LeBron James has career points scored, and lineups reminiscent of G-League rotations are being rolled out given the condensed rotations post-deadline. Nonetheless, we have 11 games on tap on Friday and my three favorite NBA player props are outlined below.

Tyrese Haliburton Over 9.5 Assists (+110 at BetMGM)

Tyrese Haliburton’s scoring ceiling hasn’t been quite as high since his return from injury, but he’s stepped right back into his elite facilitator role since returning. Across those four games, Haliburton has averaged 10.5 assists on 19.5 potential assists per game, clearing the next-closest Pacers player by 5.7 assists and 11.5 potential assists per game.

On the season as a whole, Haliburton has posted 19.9 potential assists per game, so he hasn’t missed a beat since his return. A matchup with the Suns would typically be one to consider fading, but after their blockbuster trade yesterday, they’re down their best defender (Mikal Bridges) and also come into this game on the second night of a back-to-back with an already condensed rotation. This should work in Haliburton’s favor, as books expect this game to be close, which could ensure we see a ceiling outcome in terms of minutes.
