Week 2 NFL Player Props: Best Player Props to Bet From Connor Allen

Week 1 Review: It was great to have football back but, man, was the Week 1 prop market disappointing. We wound up losing 0.98 units but our card was stricken with bad beats. It all started on Thursday when we bet the over on Isaiah McKenzie at 22.5 receiving yards. He had 19 receiving yards halfway through the 3rd quarter. He couldn’t hang onto his third target that bobbled into a Rams defender and resulted in an interception. That catch would have hit the over. Josh Allen and the coaching staff had trust issues afterward as McKenzie saw a steep decrease in playing time and wasn’t targeted the rest of the game.

Another rough one was Brandon Aiyuk's over 43.5 receiving yards prop. This fell three yards short and should have gone over despite playing in a literal monsoon (we bet this very early in the week). Aiyuk was flagged for a soft offensive pass interference call on an out route which would have hit his over. I’ll definitely be going back to the overs on his props as the passing game finds its feet in normal weather.

In the same game, we sprayed some bets on Elijah Mitchell’s alternate rushing totals (80+, 90+, 100+, 110+). Mitchell had 41 rushing yards in a quarter and a half with the 49ers up a touchdown. He was in a great position to capitalize on the matchup, weather, and everything but injured his knee midway through the second quarter and is now out eight weeks. Brutal.

The worst one by far was Travis Etienne’s over. We bet on him to have more than 20 receiving yards. His first catch went for 24 yards! I was pumped and thought we were in the clear. Nope.

Beyond those, both Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Noah Fant busted our reception unders on the last pass attempt of their respective games. If 1-2 of the six bad beats went our way we'd be in the black for Week 1.

The good news is we crushed a bunch of other props and couldn’t have been more right about the unders on Mike Gesicki and Cam Akers.
