Week 8 IDP Waiver Wire: Pickups & Targets (Fantasy Football 2022)

With the blink of an eye, here comes Week 8. There were a few big injuries as the dust clears from the week. Jacob Phillips is lost for the year with a torn pec, JC Jackson suffered a knee injury that has knocked him out for the year, and Dre Greenlaw suffered a calf injury. Just two teams on bye this week, so we'll be without IDPs from the Kansas City Chiefs, and Los Angeles Chargers.

Linebacker

Quay Walker, LB, Green Bay Packers

Quay Walker saw his usage rate increase from Week 6 to 7. Walker also played more snaps - appearing in 54 total. He and De’Vondre Campbell are fun ILB-duo and are all over the field, it’s like looking at clones. Walker is quick and stout at the point of contact. Here, he makes a solid tackle on Antonio Gibson:

Through seven games, he’s producing a 16.3% tackle rate - resulting in 52 tackles. Walker and Campbell complement each other and Walker seems to find himself in position to make tackles. He’s looking like a solid LB3 for the remainder of the season.
