Week 1 Vivid Picks NFL Player Props
Joe Mixon under 23.5 receiving yards
After heavy usage in the receiving game during the regular season, Mixon’s pass-catching role dissipated in the playoffs. He played just 15.6% of third-down snaps, while Perine played 82.2%. His routes per game also fell to just 10 per game, while Perine ran 21.3. Even with Samaje Perine gone, the Bengals seem to have a plan in place with Chris Evans and Trayveon Williams mixing in on third downs.
Josh Allen under 267.5 passing yards
Only Joe Burrow cleared this number against the Jets last season. Allen went under this number in 9-of-16 games overall last season and had just 147 & 205 passing yards in two games against the Jets. Their defense remains extremely tough, and this game does not figure to be a back-and-forth affair despite two strong quarterbacks.
Kadarius Toney under 32.5 receiving yards
It looks like Toney is playing. He is coming off a meniscus injury and missed almost the entire offseason. It is very unlikely he will play a big role in Week 1 if he does play, making this almost a freeroll on the under.
Calvin Ridley over 63.5 receiving yards
Ridley has gotten rave reviews during the preseason and training camp after some time off due to suspension and mental health issues. He is back with a vengeance and gets to play alongside an ascending quarterback in Trevor Lawrence. He draws a ripe matchup against the Colts, who will be starting at least one rookie in the secondary, and potentially 2022 UDFA Darrell Baker. Lawrence and the Jaguars passing offense should be able to move the ball effortlessly against the Colts.
