12 Fantasy Football Stash Candidates Ahead of Week 11
With the fantasy postseason only a handful of weeks ahead for most, now is the time to really look forward and stash some players who may be advantageous down the stretch. These stashes may be based on potential injuries, pecking order, favorable remaining schedule, or any combination of things.
Clear out those benches (check out my Dead Weight Report on who to drop) and make room for this week’s crop of emerging fantasy assets.
Rico Dowdle, RB - Cowboys (4% rostered)
Rico Dowdle has been here a few times this season but I have to include him again after his impressive performance in Week 10 after the game was clearly already secured by Dallas. The third-year RB posted 79 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries and remains one of the strongest insurance RB stashes to roster. Tony Pollard has been rough for those who spent second or even first-round draft capital this season, but his job is safe.
The good news for those who snag Dowdle is that tilts with the Panthers, Commanders, and Seahawks are next, defensive units who average a rank of 26th vs the run in 2023. The Cowboys could also get up early in these contests, allowing Dowdle to spell Pollard in order to keep him fresh for the real NFL playoffs.
